OUR Philosophy

At Building Connections Academy, we understand the critical role that a nurturing atmosphere plays in encouraging academic and social success for all students, particularly those who might need extra support. We are dedicated to offering a tailored atmosphere where students can excel because of this. Students are more likely to participate in the learning process and reach their full potential when they feel seen, heard, and supported.

Personalized Environment

Personalized academic plans

Our individualized academic plans are created by working together with instructors, parents, and the students themselves. We start by performing in-depth tests to determine the student's academic strengths, interests, and potential growth areas. Based on these evaluations, we collaborate with the student and their support network to set reasonable goals and create a tailored plan that suits their particular requirements and desires. We are devoted to tracking each student's development and adjusting the plan as necessary because we know that their progress can differ from student to student. To help the student's learning process, we also offer a wide range of resources, interventions, and accommodations, such as differentiated instruction, specialized programs, and assistive technologies, when necessary. We work hard to establish a safe, welcoming environment for learning where students can hone not just their cognitive abilities but also their social abilities, emotional fortitude, and self-awareness.

Project-based learning

Authentic learning, critical thinking, teamwork, creativity, ownership of learning, interdisciplinary learning, and long-term knowledge and skill retention are all supported by the key educational strategy known as project-based learning. It equips students to become lifelong learners who can successfully deal with difficult obstacles in the real world and thrive in the twenty-first century.

Multi-age classrooms

Instead of being divided into discrete grade levels, students of various ages and grade levels learn together in the same classroom. Kids can gain from learning in a mixed-age setting where they can interact with classmates of various ages, backgrounds, and skills. Multiage classrooms are intended to foster engaging and welcoming learning communities where children can flourish intellectually, socially, and emotionally. We do this by fostering cooperation, personalized instruction, and flexible grouping.
